AAC is a steam-cured mix of sand or pulverized fuel ash(PFA), cement, lime and aeration agent. The high-pressure steam-curing in autoclaves achieves a physically and chemically stable product with an average density being approx. one fifth of normal concrete and one fourth of clay brick.Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), also popularly known as autoclaved cellular concrete (ACC) is a lightweight, foam concrete building material. AAC products include blocks, wall panels, floor, roof panels and many more.Here, the AAC blocks are heated in an autoclaved chamber to increase durability and stability. This is carried out for 8-12 hours heating the blocks up to 180 degrees. Once done, the AAC blocks are transferred on pellets to the factory where quality tests are conducted to roll out the blocks into the market.
