Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is made with fine aggregates, cement, and an expansion agent that causes the fresh mixture to rise like bread dough. In fact, this type of concrete contains 80 percent air. In the factory where it is made, the material is molded and cut into precisely dimensioned units.During the pre-production, fly ash and water are mixed together in perfect quantities to form a slurry. This slurry mixture is heated and then transferred to a high-speed mixer, to which the rest of the ingredients: lime, cement, and aluminum powder are added.Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is concrete that has been manufactured to contain closed air pockets. AAC is one-fifth the weight of concrete. AAC is available as panels and blocks. AAC wall panels are typically used for cladding, but can also be loadbearing. AAC floor and roof panels are also available.
