Horizontal Air Receiver Tanks

A horizontal compressed air receiver or pressure vessel is one of the key components in all industrial compressed air system and is typically found in medium to large installations. Smaller applications are commonly supplied nowadays by a 4???in???1.Compressed air station comprising an integratedcompressor, horizontal air receiver tank, refrigerant dryer and air treatment filters. Whereas in largerapplications, these components are usually separate items. The more compact footprint of a verticalair receiver compared with a horizontal one is preferred because it occupies less floor area in theworkplace.An air receiver provides main or buffer storage volume for the compressed air, balances pulsationsfrom the compressor, cools the air and collects condensation. One or more air receivers are includedin a typical installation, the quantity and size of which are a function of the compressor's capacity, flowregulation system and the application's compressed air requirement pattern.
