Carelukast-LC pairs two complementary anti-allergic actions in one tablet. Levocetirizine, a potent antihistamine, blocks histamine's effects to relieve sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, reduces inflammation in the airways, easing nasal congestion and improving breathing.

Used together, the two actives also help manage asthma symptoms like wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness by reducing airway inflammation and constriction — making Carelukast-LC useful for patients with overlapping allergic rhinitis and asthma. The tablet is usually taken once daily, typically before bedtime, with or without food, and should be swallowed whole without chewing or crushing. Regular use as prescribed helps prevent flare-ups; stopping early can cause symptoms to return.
