Asphalt Batch Mix Plant

Batch mix plant means a source or affected facility that produces hot mix asphalt by heating and drying the aggregate in a dryer before separating and mixing it with asphalt cement in separate batches.‌‌Mixing plants manufacture the surface (or bitumen) covering the majority of roads. Different types exist; continuous or in batches, operated with heat or cold etc. The description which follows is for a heat-operated batch mixing plant, which is the type mostly in use.Asphalt mix plants are used to create hot mix asphalt. It mixes aggregates and bitumen to create the hot mix paving material. The aggregates here can be a single-sized material or it can be a blend of various grades/sizes of materials.
