Drum mix plants have components like cold feeder bins, weighing conveyor, drying and mixing drum with burner, bitumen tanks. They also feature filler hopper, wet dust scrubber, charging conveyor, control panel and optional silos for hot storage. Aggregates and bitumen are blended to produce the asphalt mix. This mix is then enhanced with additives and mineral fillers, after which it is applied for the construction of pavements of highways, parking lots, airport expressways, and road construction.
