Autonomous Golf Cart

The Autonomous Golf Cart moves golfers across the course without a human driver. A computer that runs artificial intelligence software controls the vehicle. GPS receivers, wheel speed sensors, Lidar units and video cameras feed data to the computer so it knows where it is plus what surrounds it. Two to four people sit on cushioned seats. The tires consist of soft rubber that does not scar turf. Front and rear LED lamps give light. A fabric roof keeps rain away. A small screen shows speed, battery level but also route data. A phone pairs with the cart through a wireless link so the passenger selects a destination on the screen. Engineers in India assemble each frame, motor and battery pack - every part undergoes tests for continuous duty. The cart operates with no emissions as well as needs no human steering - golfers ride from tee to green without delay.
