The induction billet heating furnace allows for the production of billets ready for forging, extruding, hot forming, and other secondary processes. Induction billet heating furnaces are primarily used for heating steel billets and can be used at both steel mills and metal fabricators.Brazing with induction generates an electromagnetic field in a work coil that induces currents in the conductive material of a workpiece placed within or near the coil. Friction from these currents elevates the temperature of the workpieces and filler to be brazed.Brazing is a process that joins two or more metal surfaces by letting molten metal flow into the joint. The filler metal has a lower melting temperature than the parts to be joined to keep the workpieces from melting. Although brazing is one of the oldest joining methods, it is still used today for a good reason.
