Asphalt Bitumen Storage Tank

Amomatic bitumen tanks are used for storing and heating binder material used in asphalt plants. There are various designs of the tanks available; horizontal, vertical, mobile, containerized, master/slave types with different sizes.Overheating can also lead to the build-up of deposits inside the storage tank and increased emissions. For this reason, bitumen should be stored at a temperature of at least 30°C below its flash point. The bitumen industry recommends the following maximum storage and operational temperatures: Road bitumen ≤ 200 °C.Bituminous materials are used for road construction, roofing, waterproofing, and other applications. For the main application, which is road construction, the major concerns, as with concrete, are cost and durability.
