Description
Product OverviewUltraTech FIXOBLOCK is a ready-to-use thin jointing mortar specifically engineered for masonry wall construction with very thin mortar joints (about 3 mm thickness). It replaces traditional cement-sand mortar with a stronger, cleaner and more efficient system for laying blocks such as AAC blocks, fly ash bricks and concrete blocks. Technical Data (Typical Values) Form: Powder (cementitious mortar with graded sand and additives) Color: GreyBulk Density: ~1450–1550 kg/m³ (packed mortar) Water Powder Ratio: ~25 % by weight (approx)Pot Life: ~1 hour at ~27 °C after mixing water Usable Time Post Placement: ~24 hours before subsequent work Strength & Adhesion Tensile Adhesion Strength @ 28 days: ~0.8 N/mm² (EN 1348) Splitting Tensile Strength @ 28 days: ~0.75 N/mm² (ASTM C 1660-09 Compressive Strength @ 28 days: ~6-7 N/mm² (typical) Shelf Life: ~12 months if stored dry and unopened Storage: Keep in cool, dry place; protect from moisture Application & UsagePurpose: Thin bed jointing mortar for AAC blocks, fly ash bricks and concrete blocks in masonry walls. Joint Thickness: Designed for ~3 mm mortar bed thickness (much thinner than conventional mortar). Mixing & Application: Add ~25 % water by weight and mix to a lump-free consistency. Apply with a notched trowel or suitable tool to achieve uniform joint thickness. Wet the blocks before application to prevent sudden water absorption.Coverage (approx per 40 kg bag at 3 mm thickness): Block 600 × 200 × 75 mm: ~210–230 sq.ft. Block 600 × 200 × 100 mm: ~160–180 sq.ft. ...and less coverage with larger or thicker blocks as per standard tables. High Adhesion Strength: Bonds blocks more strongly than conventional mortar. Thin Joint: Saves mortar, reduces wastage and material cost. Self-Curing: Reduces extra curing needs on site. Faster Construction: 3 mm joints speed up laying and reduce drying time. Economical & Higher Coverage: More area covered per bag compared to traditional mixes.⚠ Safety & Handling Non-toxic, but wear gloves and eye protection while mixing/applying. Wash off any splashes to skin/eyes with clean water. ✔ Key Features & Benefits
