Oil Expeller Machine

An oil extraction machine, also called an oil press or expeller, uses high pressure and heat to “squeeze” the oils out of a plant product. Those products — including seeds, nuts, vegetables, fruits and leafy plants — release their oils through this mechanical process, which is often done without adding any chemicals.An expeller press is a machine that squeezes oil through a cavity, using continuous pressure and friction. Expeller pressing extracts about 87 to 95% of the oil out of the seed, so some oil is left over after the pressing process is completed. Expeller-pressed oil is commonly refined using this same process.The machine uses friction and continuous pressure from the screw drive to move and compress the seed material. The oil seeps through small openings that do not allow seed fiber solids to pass.
