Double Head Boring Machine

Boring heads are specifically designed to enlarge an existing hole. They hold cutters in position so they can rotate and gradually remove material until the hole is at the desired diameter.Single-point tools are attached to a rotating spindle within a boring head. These move in circles around the edges of the existing holes. By adjusting the boring head, you can control the tool sweeping around the diameter of the hole.The boring operation is equivalent to turning, but is performed exclusively on internal surfaces. It is used for roughing (sometimes referred to as 'hogging'), semi-finishing, or finishing of castings or drilled holes.
