The casing is built from mild steel and contains a set of filter cartridges that trap about ninety percent of incoming dust. Air enters through a 120 mm port - a 7.5 kW motor turns the fan at 960 rpm and pulls the dusty stream through the cartridges. Fine wood particles stay on the filter surface - clean air leaves the unit. The collector keeps working during long shifts because the semi automatic timer triggers short pulses of compressed air that knock the dust cake into the storage bin below.
