Description

A chain mortiser is a tool designed to cut square holes into a piece of wood, often to create mortise and tenon joints or post and beam fittings. In the machine the chain is mounted on the front. Beneath it is a working table on which the work is placed and clamped. By t he action of the machine the face of the work is brought up against the chain so as to effect the mortising.
