RCCs bench mould (G design)

Bench molding is done on a work bench of a height convenient to the molder. It is best suited to prepare the mould of small and light items which are to be casted by non-ferrous metals. ➢ Pit Molding: Large size of jobs which cannot be accommodated in molding boxes are frequently molded in pits.Pit Moulding: It is the process of making mould, in this very Large and heavy castings like machine bodies are moulded in a pit. The pit is formed in the foundry floor itself. Pit acts as the drag pan of the mould. A separate cope is used above the pot at the floor level.
