Engraving Tools

Engraving tools are specialized instruments used to carve designs into surfaces, primarily metal, but also wood, glass, and other materials. The most common tool is the burin, a steel tool with a lozenge-shaped point, used to cut lines into a surface. Other tools include gravers, rockers, scrapers, and burnishers, each with specific functions in the engraving process.
