Description

Arbor - Is the saw shaft where a circular saw blade is mounted. The arbor provides power from the motor to the blade. The blade's center that mounts onto a saw's arbor is called the bore, or arbor hole. Available in a variety of sizes, the larger the blade diameter, the larger the arbor hole.A combination blade has a combination tooth configuration with groups of five teeth -- four ATBs and one FT -- and a large gullet after each group. A gullet is a space cut into the blade that allows for chip removal. Generally, a ripping blade has deep gullets, and a crosscutting blade has shallower ones.Circular saws are hand-held power tools with high-speed steel blades designed to cut wood and other materials. Circular saws come in two main designs, the worm drive and the sidewinder. A worm-drive saw has a motor with more torque, making it easier to cut thick, difficult materials like hardwoods. The circular saw is perhaps the most commonly used saw today, used extensively in both professional construction projects and DIY home improvement. This power tool uses a round metal blade edged with sharp teeth to cut an array of material such as woods, metals, cement block, brick, fiberglass, plastics and slate.
