Seam Welding Machine

Seam welding is the joining of work pieces made of similar or dissimilar materials along a continuous seam. Seam welding can be broken down into two main techniques, resistance seam welding and friction seam welding.A seam welding machine has one or two motor-driven wheels rotate to create a series of overlapping spot welds on sheet components to achieve air and/or liquid proof sealing on the welded part.Resistance seam welding can be used to make gas- or fluid-tight joints in a variety of sheet metal fabrications. Steel fuel tanks for motor vehicles are a prime example. It is also used in making tin cans, steel drums and domestic radiators.
