Colloid Mill Machine

A colloid mill is a machine that is used to reduce the particle size of a solid in suspension in a liquid, or to reduce the droplet size in emulsions. Colloid mills work on the rotor-stator principle: a rotor turns at high speeds (2000 - 18000 RPM).The most commonly used types of Colloid Mill Mixers are the dry varieties, which are capable of producing emulsions and hydrosols, and the wet colloid mills which are capable of producing gel emulsions and hydrosols. This mill uses a hydraulic system to shear the material into the final product. It mainly works on the material that will be suspended on the liquid or emulsion. As you continue to add the heavier liquid, the suspension floats to the narrow gap and the shearing process continues.
