Galvalume Steel Coils

Galvalume coil is a high-performance steel product coated with a specialized alloy of approximately 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon via a continuous hot-dip process, combining the barrier protection of aluminum with the sacrificial protection of zinc to offer corrosion resistance 2 to 4 times superior to traditional galvanized steel. Characterized by its distinctively smooth, fine metallic spangle finish, the material provides exceptional heat reflectivity and thermal stability—withstanding temperatures up to 315°C (600°F)—making it an energy-efficient and durable choice for metal roofing, wall cladding, solar mounting structures, and automotive heat shields. Typically available in thicknesses ranging from 0.15 mm to 2.0 mm and coating weights such as AZ150, Galvalume is prized for its longevity in harsh environments, its ability to self-heal at cut edges, and its 100% recyclability, though it is generally avoided in highly alkaline settings like animal confinement buildings where its aluminum component may react prematurely.
