Precast Compound Wall

Precast concrete walls are constructed by casting concrete in a reusable wall mold or form which is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and lifted into place. The main function of the precast walls is to speed up the construction process.Precast compound walls are made from concrete and steel materials which are heavy and durable compared to traditional brick walls. The erection of a 100mtr compound wall takes about 2 days which drastically reduces the time required to construct a wall.Precast concrete is reinforced concrete constructed by industrialised methods. It is characterised by dividing the building into components, which are manufactured in a precast concrete plant, and transported by special transportation equipment to the site.It is durable and weather resistant, and is made from 5,000 psi concrete which is reinforced with structural fibre. The fibre reinforces the concrete to control cracking and crumbling long term. Pre stressed concrete wall panels, are a versatile product which can be used to store and retain a wide variety of materials. Installation of the concrete panels is quick and easy, the elements can either be positioned into the web of a steel column, or clipped to the outside face. Pre-tension-ed concrete is most commonly used for the fabrication of structural beams, floor slabs, hollow-core planks, balconies, lintels, driven piles, water tanks and concrete pipes.
