Cooling tower motors are specially designed flange mounted motors in Totally Enclosed construction to suit air conditioning & refrigeration industries. They are provided with special long shaft construction with external threaded end to directly mount the fan blades.Cooling Tower motors are designed for operation in high humidity environments. They are available in Totally Enclosed Air Over enclosures for mounting in the air stream and Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled enclosures for mounting outside the air stream.A cooling tower is a heat removal device that uses water to transfer process waste heat into the atmosphere. Likewise, an industrial cooling tower operates on the principle of removing heat from water by evaporating a small portion of water that is recirculated through the unit.
