Zirconium Copper Round Bar is an excellent and unique copper alloy with high electrical conductivity , hardness and ductility , moderate strength and excellent resistance to softening at elevated temperatures. The addition of 0.1% Zirconium(Zr) and 1% Chromium(Cr) to copper results in heat treatable alloy which may be solution treated and subsequently aged to produce these desireable properties. The addition of zirconium to chromium copper improves creep resistance at high operating temperatures and reduces sticking of electrodes to the work during spot welding of galvanized/coated materials. C18150 is specified mainly for electrode application.
