A vinyl cutter, also known a vinyl plotter, is a type of computer controlled machine used to cut out shapes and letters from sheets of thin vinyl for production of signs, decals or custom apparel.Cutting plotters are technical devices which can be used to mechanically cut graphics, lettering and a variety of shapes from a variety of materials such as paper, thin wood, plastic, adhesive film, cardboard and rubber.
