Cyclone Separator

Cyclone separators or simply cyclones are separation devices (dry scrubbers) that use the principle of inertia to remove particulate matter from flue gases.There are two main designs of cyclone separator, these are the gas cyclone and hydrocyclone. Gas cyclones are used to remove entrained particles from a gas stream. Hydrocyclones are used for separating fluids of different densities.The cyclone separator is a device for separating solid particles from contaminated gas streams, and has long been used in industrial applications such as power generations, gas turbines, chemical processes and so forth.Cyclones are caused by atmospheric disturbances around a low-pressure area distinguished by swift and often destructive air circulation. Cyclones are usually accompanied by violent storms and bad weather.
