Dal Mill

This is an integrated unit and comes with a grader, which runs on 1/2 hp single phase motor and can grade 200-250 kg of soaked (wet) pulse per hour. In this machine, grains are dehusked and split simultaneously. Dehusking is achieved by abrasion of grain between the rotating emery coated cone and wire mesh cage.Pulse milling (dal milling) is accomplished in three major steps namely: loosening of husk, dehusking and splitting of pulses. Pulses are generally consumed in the form of Dal. Traditional methods for processing of pulses were labour intensive, time consuming and incurred losses.The mill consists of a de-hulling unit, an aspirator and a dhal separator, all run by a 1 HP single- phase motor. The de-husking unit is based on the principle of abrasion and consists of an emery-coated cone, which rotates inside a wire mesh cage.
