Decanter Centrifuge

A decanter centrifuge (also known as solid bowl centrifuge) separates continuously solid materials from liquids in the slurry, and therefore plays an important role in the wastewater treatment, chemical, oil, and food processing industries.A decanter centrifuge can handle up to 50% sludge, while a disc-stack centrifuge is limited to 8% sludge by volume. With a higher G-force, a disc-stack centrifuge can separate particles down to a 0.5-micron level. A decanter centrifuge typically separates particles, which are 100 microns or larger.Decanter: Consists of a vessel with no internals that allows for a reduction in the velocity of the two phase inlet liquid stream so that the two phases of liquids have sufficient residence time to separate.
