A moisture analyser, which consists of a heating unit and weighing, is used to for determining the moisture content of the sample. It works based on "loss of drying" method which is the most common method amongst all for the analysis of moisture. The weight of the sample is continuously recorded during the heating and drying of the sample, which is done by halogen lamp. So, basically the sample is weighed before and after the moisture elimination. The moisture content is calculated based on thermos-gravimetric method according to which when sample stops losing weight, the difference between the two weights calculates the moisture content. Moisture content affects the quality control criteria which very crucial in the food, plastic, pharmaceutical, textile and agricultural industries.
