Digital Alpha Dispenser

Digital dispensing enables dose-response analyses without the use of serial dilution. This direct-dilution process generates a dose directly from stock solution by ejecting the appropriate number of picoliter droplets into each well. This means each dose is independent of every other well.In general, these devices utilize a passive infrared sensor that's activated by waving a hand or object nearby. Once activated, the device dispenses a pre-programmed amount of soap. Automatic dispensers built into sink basins often feature radar-based sensors, which sense disruptions in energy.The sensor in the automatic soap dispenser employs an emitter and a collector. The emitter sends forth pulses of infrared light while the collector, which is placed to face in the same direction as the emitter, sits dormant waiting to sense the emitted pulse.
