Bomb Calorimeter

The bomb calorimeter is a laboratory instrument used to measure the amount of a sample's combustion heat or heat power when excess oxygen combustion occurs. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using the bomb calorimeter on the ability of physics students to process science.bomb calorimeter An apparatus primarily used for measuring heats of combustion. The reaction takes place in a closed space known as the calorimeter proper, in controlled thermal contact with its surroundings, the jacket, at constant temperature.Bomb calorimeter consists of a strong steel vessel ( called bomb)which can stand high pressure when the substance is burnt in it. Hence, it is called bomb calorimeter.
