Carton Bursting Strength Tester

A Bursting Strength Tester is a laboratory device used to measure the resistance of materials such as paper, cardboard, textiles, and packaging materials to rupture under pressure. It determines the bursting strength, which is the maximum pressure a material can withstand before it breaks. The working principle is based on applying uniform hydraulic pressure to a test sample. The material is clamped firmly between two circular plates, and a rubber diaphragm beneath it is gradually inflated using fluid pressure. As the pressure increases, the material stretches until it finally bursts. The pressure at the point of rupture is recorded as the bursting strength, usually expressed in kg/cm², kPa, or psi. Bursting Strength Testers are widely used in industries such as paper manufacturing, packaging, textiles, and quality control laboratories.
