Because the majority of Water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces a high purity Water that is generally similar to distilled Water, and this process is quick and without scale buildup.A stream is initially treated with a strong acid cation (SAC) resin, which collects dissolved cations and releases hydrogen (H+) ions in exchange in two-bed demineralization. The mineral acid solution is subsequently sent to the resin bed for strong base anion (SBA).
