Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from Water by using the ion exchange process. Demineralised Water is Water completely free ( or almost ) of dissolved minerals as a result of one of the following processes : Distillation.Demineralized water is defined as having a total dissolved solids concentration of 1-10 mg/L (ppm) TDS. TDS levels in spring or mineral waters, on the other hand, range from 50 to 300 mg/L.Demineralized water is water that has been treated to eliminate the majority of its mineral and salt ions. Calcium, chloride, sulphate, magnesium, and sodium are just few examples.When resins are exhausted - the cations Resins are regenerated with Hydrochloric acid (Hcl) and the Anion resins are regenerated by caustic Soda (NaOH) solution. So the same resins can be used over and over again to produce the DM water.
