DM Water Plant

DM (demineralised) water plants are systems used to carry out industrial water treatment. To be more precise, the DM plant remove dissolved solids or minerals from process streams and feed water. These plants remove minerals using any one of the following procedures: Deionisation.Demineralized water is required particularly for boiler feed purposes. In case where the total dissolved solids (TDS) of the raw water is very high, demineralized (DM) water is used for the cooling tower make–up water. In one variation, DM water is used as the make–up water for the urea plant direct cooling tower (CT).Demineralisation is the process of removing mineral salts from water by using the ion exchange process. With most natural water sources it is possible to use Demineralisation and produce water of a higher quality than conventional distillation.
