POLYSULPHIDE JOINT SEALANT PRIMER.Dr. Fixit Pidiprime A is a single component primer for polysulphide sealant application to metal, glass, wood and cementitious surfaces. Typical Applications } } } Metallic surfaces; aluminum, brass, steel, etc. }Glass. } } Porous surfaces such as concrete, plasters and wood. Features } } } Ready to use. }Quick drying. } }Strong bond. Packaging 1 ltr Method of Application 1 SURFACE PREPARATION } } Joint surfaces must be sound, thoroughly clean and dry and free from grease, oil any other contamination. All dust and debris must be removed by wire brushing, grinding and vacuuming. Damaged joints should be repaired using a suitable mortar from the Pidilite range. } } } Clean glass and metallic surfaces with acetone solvent to remove oil and other contaminants. } Fix masking tape on both sides of joint surface to provide a neat appearance. 2 APPLICATION } } } } Shake the container to disperse any settlement and brush apply two coats over the prepared surfaces allowing 30 minutes and a maximum of 3 hours between coats. } Allow the second coat to dry for 30 minutes and a maximum of 8 hours before application of sealant. Note: Nonporous substrates require only a single coat. } Should the maximum times be exceeded, the cured primer should be lightly abraded and a fresh coat applied.
