Earthing Electrode

An earth electrode is a material used for earthing. In electric wiring, a metal plate or any type of conductor is buried under the earth to ensure a good conductive path to the ground. This conductor is called earth electrode.The earth electrode diverts an electrical current safely from a damaged cable, appliance, or wiring to the earth. The earth electrode is connected to the electrical circuit and fitted into the ground near the switchboard of your home.Copper is the optimal choice of earth electrode material and underground conductor – solid copper is recommended for high fault current installations whereas copper bonded rods are usually installed for smaller sections.
