ERCoCr-E ELECTRODE

ERCoCr-E is a cobalt-based welding alloy (often a Stellite 21 grade) that provides excellent high-temperature strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and galling resistance for hardfacing applications. It is used to repair and protect components in high-wear and high-temperature environments, including valve seats, turbine blades, pump shafts, forging dies, and cutting tools. Key Characteristics Wear and Heat Resistance:ERCoCr-E offers superior resistance to wear, heat, and corrosion, making it ideal for harsh operating conditions. Good Impact Resistance:The alloy exhibits good impact resistance and can be used for building up hot stamping dies. Work Hardening:It has the ability to work harden, increasing its surface hardness during use or machining. Cavitation and Galling Resistance:The alloy's composition provides excellent resistance to galling (metal-to-metal wear) and cavitation. High-Temperature Strength:ERCoCr-E retains its strength and ductility in temperatures up to 1600°F (871°C).
