Earthing Rod

An earth electrode is a material used for earthing. In electric wiring, a metal plate or any type of conductor is buried under the earth to ensure a good conductive path to the ground. This conductor is called earth electrode.An earthing electrode is a metal conductor that is buried in the ground to provide an electrical connection to the earth. It is used to prevent electric shocks and protect electrical equipment from damage caused by lightning strikes, power surges, and other electrical faults. They are connected to the grounding system of an electrical installation and provide a low-impedance path for the flow of fault current to the ground.
