Ebonite Rubber Roller

Ebonite is a brand name for a material generically known as hard rubber, and is obtained via vulcanizing natural rubber for prolonged periods. Ebonite may contain from 25% to 80% sulfur and linseed oil. Its name comes from its intended use as an artificial substitute for ebony wood.Rubber rollers are cylindrical rollers that are used to flatten the surface of the materials like metals, pulp, paper, fabrics food stuffs and other products. The rollers ensure the uniform flattening and avoids ruptures, folds or defects in the materials.Ebonite is blackish brown and firm, but its main raw material is rubber. By mixing and heating rubber and sulfur, they combine and become low-elastic and very firm vulcanized rubber with an elongation percentage of approximately 3%. When the surface of ebonite is polished, it gives a beautiful, lacquer-like gloss.
