Electric Chain Hoist Parts

Electric chain hoists use a load chain as the lifting medium. The load chain is pulled by a motor that converts electrical energy to mechanical energy used to lift the load. The electric hoist motor is housed inside a heat-dissipating shell, which is typically made from aluminum.Upper Hook – The hook that attaches the hoist to its support system (crane or beam). Lower Hook – The hook that attaches to the load that requires lifting. Hook Latch – A safety mechanism that locks the hook onto its attachment. Load Chain/Rope/Wire Rope – Connects the lower hook to the lifting mechanism.
