Glass Mica Tape

Mica Tapes are manufactured using mica paper (muscovite, phlogopite, calcined or synthetic) with backings of glass cloth or polyester film (polyimide preferably) or both for applications such as dielectric barriers for motors, transformers, generator and barrier of circuit integrity during fire conditions of wire and cables, all impregnated with high temperature silicon resin.The mica tape backing depends on its application. (e.g., If it's a high-temperature application – polyimide backing tapes are used). The winding of mica tapes for its application is very important, wrapping should be done well to get best results.
