Overhead Traveling Crane

A single girder crane has only one bridge beam, and the hoist trolley operates or travels on the lower flange of the bridge girder. · A double girder crane will have two bridge beams, and the hoist trolley travels on rails, usually attached to the tops of the crane girder.The EOT Crane moves over the rails placed on the top of crane runway or Gantry Girders. The crane mainly comprise of bridge girder made from rolled sections such as I beams / U beams or fabricated box section. The bridge girder is supported on two end carriages, each housing a pair of wheels.Single Girder Cranes generally have no platform for maintenance,or have 2 small platform for LT mechanism maintenance. Double Girder Cranes have both sides platform across the main girders for maintainance purpose and platform for crab maintenance. Single Girder cranes does not consist Under bridge light.There are two main categories of cranes: static cranes and mobile cranes. A static crane is a permanent/semi-permanent structure fixed to the ground or building that lifts and moves loads along a fixed path. A mobile crane is mounted on treads or wheels and can be moved from job site to job site.
