Indoor Commercial Escalator

An escalator is a moving staircase which carries people between floors of a building or structure. An escalator is made up of a set of interlocking steps, powered by an electric motor. A pair of chains looped around two pairs of gears rotate to move the steps along while a larger metal structure called a truss encases the entire mechanism to connect the floors.The purpose of an escalator is to transport people. It performs efficiently, allowing individuals to move many floors in a short time, when compared to a staircase, for instance. Because escalators are generally long, they allow a large group of people to get at once and reduce the need for waiting periods.Modern escalators have a myriad of different uses and applications. On the whole, they're used to move large numbers of people between multi-storey buildings, or into basements or underground travel systems.
