Description
Energy Combustion , Ahmedabad leading supplier of all types of kromschoder make Flame Sensors. NERGY COMBUSTION, Ahmadabad supplying all types of Siemens make Flame Sensors. The Siemens QRI2B2.B180B is an infrared (IR) flame detector designed for use with Siemens burner controls, specifically the LMV5 series. Unlike the UV-based QRA53, this sensor detects the infrared radiation of a flame, making it ideal for gas, oil, and coal flames that produce a strong IR signature. Technical Specifications Feature Specification Detection Type Infrared (IR) Spectral Sensitivity Max. approx. 2 $\mu$m Illumination Direction Lateral (Side-viewing) Operating Voltage DC 14 V ± 5% (Operational); DC 21 V ± 5% (Testing) Signal Voltage DC 0 to 5 V Power Consumption < 0.5 W Cable Length 180 cm (approx. 6 feet) Cable End Stripped with ferrules Protection Rating IP54 Operating Temperature -20 °C to +60 °C Weight Approx. 0.175 kg Key Features Continuous Operation: Features electronic self-supervision, allowing it to be used for burners that run for more than 24 hours without a shutdown (continuous operation). Integrated Amplifier: The flame signal is amplified directly within the detector housing, allowing for a stable 0–5 V signal output. Selective Sensitivity: It is designed to ignore constant radiation (like glowing refractory brickwork) and mains frequency harmonics (50/60 Hz). It specifically looks for the "flicker" frequency of a real flame. Mounting: It is typically secured to the burner using a flange and clamp. Because of its high sensitivity, it is usually installed behind the burner's baffle plate. Comparison: QRI2A vs. QRI2B The main difference between the models in this series is the direction from which the sensor "sees" the flame: QRI2A: Frontal illumination (the sensor looks straight out the tip). QRI2B: Lateral illumination (the sensor looks out the side at a 90° angle). Important Installation Note Since this is an IR detector, it is sensitive to heat sources. To avoid false "flame present" signals, ensure it is not exposed to modulated IR radiation from moving hot parts or air turbulence that might cause hot surfaces to "shimmer" in a way that mimics a flame's flicker.
