Rubber washers are flat rubber rings with centre holes to accommodate fasteners or allow fluids to pass through. Rubber washers prevent leaks, protect surfaces, and dampen vibration in a variety of applications. Rubber gaskets are often used in industrial plants for utility and chemical processing lines. These gaskets are limited to low to medium pressures. Most rubber Washer are limited to around 150 psi (10 bars), while some engineering-grade types, such as PTFE, can reach up to 800 psi (55 bars). Flange washers are washers with a raised up inside diameter with a flange base.
