Flexography is a modern high-speed printing process suitable for most packaging and label applications. It allows for fast, cost-efficient, high-quality label printing for a variety of mass-produced goods.Printing machines in flexography are of three types – tiered (the color sections are arranged vertically), sectional (with a horizontal arrangement of the paint transfer sections) and planetary ones, in which the printing units are grouped into one central cylinder.In flexographic printing, the pattern is made into plates, typically from a photopolymer. The plates are attached to a roll. Ink is transferred from a bath to an anilox roll, which contains millions of tiny divots to take up the ink.
