A Fly Press is a machine tool used to shape sheet metal by deforming it or cutting it with punches and dies. The punch is usually the top (male) tool and the die (female) bottom tool. A hand-operated press in which a horizontal beam with heavy steel balls attached to the ends gives additional momentum to the descending member used to punch or compress material.
