Food processing plant means a commercial operation that processes or stores food for human consumption and provides food for distribution to other business entities at other locations, including other food processing plants and food establishments.Food processing is any method used to turn fresh foods into food products. This can involve one or a combination of the following: washing, chopping, pasteurising, freezing, fermenting, packaging and many more.According to FAO (Food and Agriculture Organisation), processed foods can be classified into three types viz. Primary, Secondary and Tertiary.Food processing may be used to reduce the amount of food lost by using preservation processes, such as freezing, drying, ferment- ration, canning, pasteurisation and sterilisation, and packaging technologies to increasing the shelf-life of products (Angela et al., 2013).
