A heat sealer is a machine used to seal products, packaging, and other thermoplastic materials using heat. This can be with uniform thermoplastic monolayers or with materials having several layers, at least one being thermoplastic.The heat sealing process, as previously described, marries two materials and creates a bond. To achieve this bond, one of the materials typically carries a surface sealant layer. The heating elements of heat seal packaging equipment are raised to a temperature high enough to either melt or activate the sealant.When the microswitch engages, the sealing wire is quickly heated. The heat from the wire melts the material being used. The pressure from the sealing bar being pressed down mends the two sides together, creating a seal.Heat Seal Coatings are thermoplastic coatings used as adhesives to seal one substrate to another. The coating is typically applied to a flexible substrate, such as film, foil, paper, or non-woven material, and allowed to dry.
