Standard: ASTM D816,ASTM D1084,ASM D4212Zahn Cups are applied to determine the viscosity of the Newtonian and near Newtonian fluids. CNDB DIP Viscosity Cup (Zahn Type) produced by our company is in accordance with specification of ASTM D4212-93.Ⅲ. Application & Maintenance: 1.Clean the cup with suitable solvent each time before using and after testing.2.Choose the proper cup for the expected viscosity of the liquid to be evaluated. The time for the cup to empty should be between the range of a given cup- above table.3.Dip the cup into the vessel for 1-5 minutes to reach the thermal equilibrium, and then vertically draw the cup out of the raw material quickly and smoothly. Begin to count time when the bottom of the cup is just leaving the liquid surface. Keep the cup vertical when the liquid is flowing and the distance between the cup and the liquid surface is less than 150mm. Stop counting when the first breaking point is observed. The seconds of flow time stands for the viscosity value. The error of two tested value should be less than 5% of the average value.4.The temperature of the sample should be 25℃±0.2℃ when testing. According to the following formula, converse efflux time to kinematic viscosity.ν= k (t-c)where: ν— kinematic viscosity, cstt —efflux time, s k,c — corresponding constant (see following table)
